Rewards is delighted to be working with Yew Tree Vets in Cranleigh providing different types of puppy training for new owners. There are lots of options available and during 2019 we will be offering social sessions, training classes, drop in clinics and walks for owners who have new pups up to six months old. Plus you get the chance to introduce your pup to a veterinary surgery in a completely relaxed and fun atmosphere, the benefits of which you can't measure.
These FREE OF CHARGE sessions will be at 7pm every last Thursday of the month. Dates will be updated on the Facebook page and the website.
Group Puppy Classes
I've taught puppy classes for over five years and all the sessions offer some basic training, life skills and preparation for the Kennel Club Good Citizen awards if you want to progress and see how far you can go with your dog. We will cover the Kennel Club Puppy Foundation which have been specifically designed to offer you and your puppy some training and socialisation plus the chance to introduce your pup to a veterinary surgery in a completely relaxed and fun atmosphere, the benefits of which you can't measure.
The course last for 4 weeks and to ensure that you get the most from the sessions, the groups are deliberately kept small. Each class lasts a maximum of 45 minutes, but this is flexible depending on the pups (and the owners) in the class. And there will, of course, be plenty of chance to ask for individual assistance or advice after each session. All the classes are taught using reward based techniques to give you the life skills to build a long and positive relationship with your puppy!
£60 per pup for the full course.
Preschool Home Visit
Because some times you might need a little help to settle in your new puppy in at home, I offer a Preschool Home Visit. It gives you a chance to ask questions about house training, getting the right equipment (collars, harnesses etc.), visiting your vet and lots more tips and techniques to get you started.
£30 for a one hour home visit or £25 if you book and pay for the Puppy Beginners course in advance.
Before you get a puppy visit
A visit for first time or new puppy owner before your little bundle arrives home. I can offer advice on what to get (and what NOT to get) and how to start training your pup from day one, how to set up a safe space for your pup and introducing your pup to the family and visitors. Also useful to talk to the family about what to expect and how to deal with the new arrival.
