Training your puppy is vitally important in building a fun and positive relationship with your pup. But I also believe that it should be fun for you and your pup. I've worked with vets for many years and successfully taught hundreds of pups about socialisation and good behaviour using the Kennel Club Puppy Foundation course.
This four week beginners puppy course aims to provide owners with basic skills to train their pups while introducing your pup to a veterinary surgery in a completely relaxed and controlled atmosphere. Each week we will focus on a particular topic including the usual exercises as well as walking on the lead, recall, grooming, health care and encouraging good manners.
To ensure that owners get the most from the sessions, the groups are kept small and last a maximum of 45 minutes (although this is flexible depending on the pups and owners in the class!). There will, of course, be plenty of chances to ask for individual assistance or advice after each session. Pups from 10 weeks to 6 months can attend once they have had one of their vaccinations and you don't need to be registered at the vet surgery to come along.

Because some times you might need a little help to settle in your new puppy in at home, I offer a Preschool Home Visit. It gives you a chance to ask questions about house training, getting the right equipment (collars, harnesses etc.), visiting your vet and lots more tips and techniques to get you started.

Before you get a puppy visit
A visit for first time or new puppy owner before your little bundle arrives home. I can offer advice on what to get (and what NOT to get) and how to start training your pup from day one, how to set up a safe space for your pup and introducing your pup to the family and visitors. Also useful to talk to the family about what to expect and how to deal with the new arrival.
